Silver Spring Krusty Krabs 2003 Season Recap (9-6 SP 2R L)
They started out the season named the Snipers, but were renamed Krusty Krabs before their playoff loss to the Muckrackers. The team had a nice run, led by Priest Holmes and some great Ds. Early in the season, Osama bin Laden even issued a videotaped prediction that the Snipers would win the JCFFL title. In the playoffs the Krusty Crabs had a lot of bite in them, but only getting one point out of their kickers doomed them in their 2nd round game.
Washington Interns 2002 Season Recap (6-9 TP W)
To welcome Monica Lewinsky into the league, the Interns played four straight rivalry games. In the first week, Monica's ex-boyfriend Neff put her in her place - the loss column. But Lewinsky rallied her Interns to win the next two games, against hated Fort Washington and the Dick Cheney-led Ozzies. But Washington couldn't carry the win streak into the lottery bye week and then followed it with a loss to Fort Washington. Soon more losses followed, and the Interns were on their way to the Toilet Bowl. But a motivation tactic backfired when Monica told the team, "Cigars for everyone if we win the Toilet Bowl!" Down 35-17 in the first round of the TB playoffs, the Interns put together 5 second-half TDs to win and knock themselves out of the running.
